Biografia

Father of the painter  Carl Flamm, he was pupil of Andreas Achenbach at the Duesseldorf Art Institute and became a landscape painter and lithographer.
To complete his preparation he arrived in Italy the first time in 1845, remaining in the north of the country, and returning in 1850, visiting Rome and Naples, returning to Rome again in 1953, visiting Italy almost once a year.
In his paintings he represented the most famous views of Rome, Naples and their environments, exalting the sun light and its warm and bright effects, much to the taste of German tourists.
He often attended art exhibits by the Berlin Art Institute as well as the Duesseldorf exhibits.
